About
Crafting to Venture
Hey there! I’m Amanda 👋
Owner, maker, Army vet, and the human behind Crafting to Venture — where creativity meets chaos (in the best way).
I started sewing in 2019 after having a majorly bad reaction to epoxy (10/10 do not recommend). My dream of making tumblers ended, but I was left with a stash of expensive custom fabric and no clue what to do with it. So naturally, I bought a cheap sewing machine, binge-watched YouTube tutorials, and started sewing pouches. A lot of pouches. Like... a lot.
Over time, I taught myself real sewing techniques, how to read patterns (without crying), and turned this hobby into something I truly love. Since then, I’ve had the honor of striking for multiple custom fabric companies and testing patterns for some incredible designers. It’s been a wild ride — and I wouldn’t trade it.
When I’m not sewing, you’ll find me out traveling, sightseeing, snapping photos of landscapes like I’m building a National Geographic portfolio, or rewatching Forrest Gump for the millionth time.
I’m also obsessed with Halloween and all things spooky — seriously, it’s a lifestyle.
And don’t get me started on my love for boho and southwest color combos... if it looks like it belongs in a desert or a cozy cabin, I’m all in.
The name Crafting to Venture comes from my belief that creativity and adventure go hand in hand. Whether I’m sewing or exploring new places, I’m always chasing that next little spark of inspiration.
Thanks for stopping by — I’m so glad you’re here!
